Former Jets reaching onward...team looking forward to fall

Jamestown, NY

The Jamestown Jets are in the midst of their off season however their is plenty of buzz regarding the Jets in the community and hockey world as they are set to enter their 3rd season of play...this is something that has the staff excited of the future.  "We have carved a pretty good niche in the community over the last several years. The great people of our community have openned up their hearts to these players and our organization.   We are receiving alot of requests to partake in community events which we are so very honored to do." said Jets Head Coach Dennis Canfield.  One event the Jets took part in was called 'Wild for a Cure"  which raised money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation all proceeds went to send kids to camp.  "Our players battle day in and day out on the ice...but these kids battle a terrible disease daily they are the real warriors".  The Jets would like to let everyone know they are always willing to donate to great causes simply contact coach Canfield via email at DCanfield@Jamestownjets.com.

Jets update:  Jets All-Star forward Daniel Denittion has returned home to Sweden with his family for the first time since joining the Jets last fall.  While home he will train as he will return in August to pursue his NAHL aspirations with the Alexandria Blizzard whom has been in contact with him regarding his services.  We wish Daniel all the best.

Jets Former Assistant Captain and Jamestown native Tyler Nelson has been officially accepted into Robert Morris University and is listed as one of a few players on their recruited walk on list.  The Jets staff is very proud of Tyler he comes from a good family and is exactly what Jets hockey is about...we wish him the best.

Jets Alumni F Tyler Underhill is training hard as he prepares for his second season with the Texas Tornado of the NAHL.  Expectations are high for Tyler with a season under his belt he should have a big sophmore year for coach Tony Curtale.

Jets Alum and former captain F Sean Cirbus is expected to attend the University of Michigan this fall.  Cirbus spent the last season at Northfield Prep School.  It's expected he will walk on in hopes of earning a spot on the Wolverine roster either way the future is bright for this young man.
