Jets partake in Hockey for Hospice a marathon hockey event to raise money for Hospice for Chautauqua County. The Jets would like to thank everyone who came out to support Hockey for Hospice this past weekend. The 13 hockey marathon was a huge success and the event concluded with the Sabres Alumni taking on team hospice which was made up of area leaders and several Jamestown Jets including Assistant Coach Nick Synder, former Jets Assistant Captain Tyler Nelson, and the Jets Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Dennis Canfield. Serving the team as Captain was U.S Congressmen Brian Higgins. On the other side former Sabres greats Richie Dunn and fan favorite Rob Ray entertained the crowd along with Chautauqua resident and Stanley Cup Champion Kevyn Adams formerly of the Carolina Hurricanes. It was an event to raise money for the families of Chautauqua County that Hospice cares for when they are ill. The event was a huge success and one that the Jets are so very proud to support and will continue to do so in the future. "Hospice is about family and supporting our loved ones...mix that in with our great game and you get a wonderful community event for a great cause. The Jets and I were proud to be apart of it and will be for many years to come" said Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Dennis Canfield.
