(Jamestown, NY)       It’s never too late for firsts and this weekend marks the Jamestown Jets first visit to Troy, Ohio. The Jets and the Troy Bruins have played four times this season, all at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena.

The Jets won the first meeting between the two teams 4-1 on December 12, 2009 but they have dropped all three games since then. The Bruins swept a physical series with the Jets in January taking the first game 7-3 and holding off a late surge in a 5-4 victory in game two.

Jamestown will get some help on the blue line this weekend with the return Dan Kuenzi and David Moore. Moore has been a leader on the Jets blue line all season with 12 goals and 36 points in 26 games.

The Jets also found a hidden gem on the blue line since Kuenzi and Moore had been out of the lineup. Bruce Statton has been the Jets best player over the last three weeks and heads into this weekend with nine goals and 13 points during his seven game point streak.

The teams are set to faceoff at 8 p.m. Saturday night and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The games will be broadcast by the Troy Bruins. Information can be found by visiting www.troybruins.com.
