JETS SET FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE NEW YEAR’S BASH

Jets and Grrrowl Ready to Renew Rivalry(Jamestown, NY) The Jamestown Jets return home for their longest home stand of the season, one that will see the Jets on the friendly confines of Jamestown Savings Bank Arena for the entire month of January. The home stand will kick off tomorrow night with the 2nd annual New Year’s Eve Bash as the Jets will host their rival the Findlay Grrrowl ,doors will open at 6:30.
Its kid’s night with the Jets and each kid gets in free per paid adult ticket. Prior to the game the Jets will host a pregame party in the brand new Arena Club high atop the JSBIA. There will be plenty of activities for kids including a kid’s ball drop prior to faceoff. As part of the New Year’s festivities, the Jets will host “Family Wars” pitting families against each other in competition. Information on “Family Wars” can be found in the Arena lobby. There will also be a special skate with the Jets following the conclusion of the New Year’s Eve Game.
The Jets and Grrrowl will continue the weekend series with Game 2 on New Year’s Day at 7:35 and Game 3 will be Saturday night. Saturday is “Blue Collar Hockey Night” and the Jets have reduced their tickets with special pricing. Adult tickets are $5 and child/student are $3. There will also be $2 16 ounce beers and $1 hot dogs. “We have outstanding fans and this is our tribute to those who support Jets hockey. Last year was outstanding it’s a great way to celebrate the New Year we are very excited!” said Canfield.
The Jets are coming off a disappointing road trip to Montreal and are looking to get back on track on home ice. “It’s great to be home the guys enjoyed the holiday and are ready to get back to work this weekend we will be ready”.
The Jets rivalry with Grrrowl dates back to last season when Findlay beat Jamestown two games to one in the league championship. This season the Jets have had their way with the Grrrowl. Jamestown has lost only once to Findlay and that game was played back in September.
