This weekend will be a big weekend for the Jamestown Jets. They return home to face the Adirondack Predators after suffering losses in a pair of games last weekend to Team Ulysee in Quebec. The losses dropped Jamestown back to .500 with a 10-10-0 record.

The Jets are hoping a return home will be the recipe for success. They have a two game home winning streak after sweeping a weekend series with the Findlay Grrrowl at the beginning of November. "I think anytime you play at home, you expect to win and this weekend will be no different" Jets coach Dennis Canfield said.

This will mark the third weekend series between Jamestown and Adirondack this season. The Jets and Predators split their last series in Albany but Adirondack swept the only series played in Jamestown. They expect a much different series this weekend. "We didn't play our best hockey the last time they were here" Canfield said, adding " We are a different hockey team than we were a month ago when they were in town".

This weekend figures to match two high powered offensive teams. The Jets have averaged almost six goals a game in their 10 home contests and Adirondack has scored almost six goals per game in their four meeting with the Jets.

Jamestown will look to their top players to help the team bounce back from last weekend. Jets veteran Dan Igilienski has been a key for the team since he rejoined the squad in early September. He is now leading the team with 13 goals and 13 assists. Jon Gratton will be another player the Jets are counting on. He is tied with Igielinski for the team lead with 13 goals. Nate Hughes has 12 goals on the season and had a hat trick against Adirondack in Albany.

The Jets and Predators are set to play on Friday and Saturday at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. both nights. It is group weekend at the Arena and it’s not too late to get your group to the game. Visit www.jamestownjets.com or call 716-484-2624 for ticket information.
