Jets Nelson Signs with Canada's #6 Nationally Ranked Georgetown Raiders

Nelson expected to make an immediate impact and play a key role as Raiders look for National Title.

Jamestown Jets Vice President and Head Coach Dennis Canfield is pleased to announce that Jamestown, NY native and Jets star defensemen Tyler Nelson has signed with the Georgetown Raiders of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.   Last season the Raiders were ranked #6 nationally in all of Canadian Tier II Junior Hockey.  The Jets and Raiders reached a deal just prior to the holiday allowing Nelson to join the Raiders this past weekend in time for their annual golf outting.  "Nellie is a dynamic player who will make the Raiders better.  As a team they are only a few players away from competing for a national title which say alot about what they think about Tyler and his talent...I'm very proud of him he will be sorely missed not only on the ice but in the room".
